Cuttlebone casting is an ancient but very accurate method for one-of-a-kind casting in precious metals. Cuttlebone is the backbone or internal organ from a cuttlefish. Renowned Arizona artist April Bower came to Quail Creek again to teach Lapidary Club members this interesting skill. Participants used melted metal to form surprising and unique pieces of jewelry.
