Needleworkers provide handmade prostheses for women

Linda Freeman

Did you know that the Quail Creek Needlework Club provides special handmade breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies or other such procedures? Traditional prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy and uncomfortable. The club offers a soft and comfortable alternative. They are free to Quail Creek women and come in a variety of sizes.

The Needlework Club gathers in Studio 104 in the Creative Arts Center on Tuesday mornings (9:00 a.m. to noon) or Friday afternoons (1:00 to 4:00 p.m.). Please feel free to drop in and visit!
