Monday Night Book Club

You know you’ve read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend. –Paul Sweeney

Welcome to attend are all residents of Quail Creek who enjoy reading and interesting discussion. The Book Club is a chartered club, does not require dues and meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse Gold Room. The next two meeting dates are April 4 and May 2.

Being discussed on April 4 is The Light Between Oceans, by Margo Stedman. Taking place in an Australian port town and lighthouse after WWI, this is an incredibly moving and complex story about what happens when good people make bad decisions in order to protect their loved ones.

The choice on May 2 is Driftless by David Rhodes, a fascinating and unsentimental portrait of a Midwestern town, apparently left behind by the march of time. Driftless is an unforgettable story of contemporary life in rural America.
