Members of The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) should mark their calendars for the October 31 Membership Luncheon. This annual event provides an opportunity to bring the membership up to date about club activities and accomplishments and to share plans for the future. It also provides an excellent opportunity for members to be recognized for the hard work and generosity of time and talents they have given to help make TWOQC one of the most active organizations in Quail Creek.
This year’s program will feature Heather Rowe, nighttime TV news anchor for KOLD, Channel 13. Ms. Rowe’s remarks will be preceded by lunch. This year’s menu will feature a served chicken taco salad full of healthy greens and veggies followed by dessert. A no-host bar will open at 10:30 a.m. The initial program and lunch will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Madera Clubhouse Ballroom.
Members will pay a non-refundable ticket price of $10; non-members may attend as first-time guests for a price of $20. Tickets for the October 31 luncheon will be sold beginning September 26 at the TWOQC evening program. New members who join TWOQC at the September program may pay the reduced fee for the luncheon.
TWOQC is also working on preparations for the sale of homemade shawls just in time for the fall gift giving season. The shawls, which will be sold during the November Arts and Crafts Fair, will raise funds for charity. Watch What’s Happening and the October issue of Quail Creek Crossing for further information.
