Recent cuts in education funding throughout the state of Arizona have had an impact on all schools, including the Continental Elementary School District in Green Valley. The district, which has one school site serving 575 students, has had trouble maintaining many of its programs. Students in preschool through grade eight attend the school.

To support the district, the Continental School District Educational Foundation recently held its Sweet Art Gala. This fundraiser showcased local artists, the school’s Artist in Residence and the work of Continental School students. The Women of Quail Creek, always anxious to find ways to support our local community, became a sponsor of the Gala. TWOQC funds and other funds raised through the event will help the foundation support its mission to enrich the school’s programs and activities by building community partnerships.
