TRIPS to explore Tucson

Bonnie Hyra

This special tour of Tucson is a result of five years of TRIPS day excursions by a commutate street explorer. This streetcar/walking tour is for Quail Creek residents unfamiliar with our town—a combo of history, architecture and amazing places not on any tourist trail.

Ever wonder why UA teams yell, “Bear Down!” at games? Ever want a quiet cup of coffee (or glass of wine) overlooking Congress? What about places built of repurposed materials? What is Ben’s Bells and why do we need to know about this shop? Where is the Tucson Visitor’s Center now located? Where is there a great buffet restaurant open to the public on UA campus? Where is there a good salad bar in downtown?

All of these questions and many more will be explored on this walking/streetcar tour of Tucson on Thursday, March 22. Watch the March What’s Happening for details and registration. Limited to 18 participants.
