Jane Gold
On Sept. 4, 11 The Women of Quail Creek members celebrated Labor Day by painting monsoon-themed rocks. With the arrival of summer monsoons, the group celebrated more storms to come (hopefully) by gathering in Janet Rumford’s casita to paint stormy rocks.
No artistic talent was required, and Janet provided all necessary supplies for a small fee. Again, Janet’s event proved to be filled with fun conversation, laughter, and the opportunity to make new friends.
The attendees took their stormy masterpieces home with them to display in their yards.
After the painting was done, comments included:
Janet Spicer Rumford: “Look at these masterpieces! The artists were at my casita today! Their creativity was amazing! A fun time was had by all!”
Pam Hartwell-James: “Janet Rumford, thank you so much for a fun day of painting!”
Nancy Smedick Hatch: “Everyone’s talents showed today! We even had an avocado! That was a first!”
