Do you know a woman older than age 21 who lives in Pima or Santa Cruz County who is at a point of change in her life? Whose education was waylaid after high school and she now wants to return to school? Maybe she recently lost her job and needs more training to find another. Perhaps she needs new skills to find a better job to help support her family. The Women Of Quail Creek (TWOQC) awards Women In Transition (WIT) scholarships to Arizona women who are ready, willing, and able to return to school to further their careers through education and thereby improve their lives.
The Women In Transition Scholarship program started in 2017 and has awarded a total of 24 scholarships over those six years. The TWOQC Scholarship Committee hopes to increase the number of WIT applicants for these scholarships with your help. If you have a family member, acquaintance, or even someone you do business with who may be interested and meets the basic qualifications for age and residency, the TWOQC Scholarship Committee wants to hear from her. The application process is simple and confidential. Please have that possible candidate visit The Women Of Quail Creek website www.womenqc.com. Under the yellow banner marked “Bulletin Board,” click on the scholarship application. The application can be printed from there.
TWOQC is asking for help in disseminating information about this unusual scholarship availability. Each year, members of the TWOQC Scholarship Committee distribute flyers to Green Valley and Sahuarita in an effort to connect with women who are thinking of returning to school and to let them know that this unique scholarship is available.
TWOQC thanks all Quail Creek residents and others for their continued support of our organization’s scholarship program. We hope that we can count on your help in getting the word out so that we get a flood of applicants in 2023.
