Women in Blue held their luncheon at Mario McGee’s Pizza on Feb. 23. Kim Eisele, president of the Animal League of Green Valley, was the honored guest. A few days following the luncheon, Kim sent a heartfelt thank you to the Democratic Club of Quail Creek for raising $400 at the luncheon for the Animal League. Way to go, ladies!

The March 23 Women in Blue luncheon at Maria’s was well attended.

If you would like to attend the April 27 Women in Blue Luncheon at Grill on the Green, please visit our website www.dcqc.page. Be sure to email Jeanne Buell at [email protected] to make your reservation.

The regular monthly meeting of the Democratic Club of Quail Creek is held on the third Saturday of each month in the Mesquite Room of the Kino Center at 3 p.m. On March 17 Dave Gamrath presented about homelessness in Tucson and across the nation. Dave talked about one solution that has proved successful in some communities: Tiny Homes.

April 15 at 3 p.m. is the next meeting of the Democratic Club. The topic is “Scammers Target Seniors.”

Save the date! The Democratic Club will hold a fundraising dinner on Saturday, May 6. Our Arizona Secretary of State, Adrian Fontes, will be the keynote speaker. Secretary Fontes is a dynamic speaker whom you won’t want to miss! Watch the Quail Creek Crossing and What’s Happening or check our website closer to the date for more details.
