Let us help you, through education. Join the QC Computer Club on Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in the QC Clubhouse Crystal Ballroom to learn how you can stop a scam before it happens to you.
The purpose of the Scam Squad is to be proactive and to fight crime by providing knowledge to the community of the current scams and frauds. This is so residents will recognize the scams and frauds for what they are and not fall victim. The fraudsters are clever. They will make a situation seem real and believable. Their “job” is to hide their criminal intent.
The Green Valley Scam Squad’s mission is to teach our community about scams and help prevent them from happening to our citizens: “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.” SAV (Sheriff’s Auxiliary Volunteers) members volunteer their time and talents in the quest to help improve our community and make it a safer place for us all to enjoy.
Every year, millions of people report fraud, scams, and bad business practices to the Federal Trade Commision. The Green Valley Scam Squad offers information and advice for the local community and will focus on scams that have an impact on older adults.
Hope to see you on Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. for this very important and informative presentation.
