The Computer Club program, on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the ballroom, promises to be both informative and entertaining, featuring a presentation by Mike Swanson, Arizona Computer Guru. Mike will discuss common problems – both PC and Mac – on topics ranging from anti-virus protection to general operating issues.
Sixteen years ago Mike found himself becoming the go-to guy for friends with computer problems. As his reputation grew, friends would introduce him as a computer guru. He never planned to make a million but rather to help people navigate the complex world of IT. Throughout his early IT days, he encountered folks who had been taken advantage of by technicians who created more problems than they fixed and he was determined to help those who had been victimized.
Thus, in 2001, Arizona Computer Guru opened its doors with a stated mission to help people fix their computer problems. Now expanded to three Tucson locations, Arizona Computer Guru provides a host of technology services including web services, virus removal, data recovery and others. Mike also hosts a weekly radio talk show on KVOI AM 1030 dedicated to all things technology.
The monthly Computer Club programs are always open to all who are interested in attending. The program will begin after a brief Computer Club business meeting and there will be time for Q&A at the end.
