The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) On-the-Go ladies visited the Tucson Sector and Tucson Station facility of the Border Patrol. Agents presented a highly informative overview of their work. Arizona is the largest sector in the U.S., with nine stations, including Tucson and Nogales. Agents assigned to the Tucson Station patrol the border 23 miles east and west of Sasabe and are responsible for a vast majority of Pima County.
Federal agents from the Casa Grande Station were on hand and provided information about working with the Tohono O’odham Nation. They patrol the Nation’s land, which includes 31 miles of international border. The collaborative missions protect and preserve the Tohono O’odham culture and enforce the laws of the United States.
Mama Louisa’s was the lunch stop where conversation about the morning’s experiences continued. All 11 attendees agreed it was instructional and enlightening, and they are eager to learn more.
