Cheri Sipe, Fitness Supervisor, Anza Athletic Club
The fitness staff welcomes our winter residents back to Anza Athletic Club, and we are here to assist you. There have been several changes since last spring, including the return of group fitness and personal trainers.
Reservations and limited workout times in the gym are no longer required. Reservations, which can be made on an unlimited basis 14 days in advance, are still required for the lap pool.
Several group fitness classes are offered, including Classic Fitness, Gentle Yoga, HIIT-Fit, Level 1 Karate, Low Impact Tabata, Mat Pilates, Men’s Yoga, Pound® Fit, SilverSneakers® Classic, Senior Balance, and Zumba. A schedule and description of classes can be found on the website, or you can pick up a copy at Anza. Our instructors are experienced and certified in the classes they teach.
The most significant part of the group fitness program is how you pay for your class! Any class offered by the POA is covered by your punch card or drop-in fee. You can purchase a 10-punch card for $35 or a 20-punch card for $60 at Anza. These cards do not expire, and you can use your punch card for any class at Anza.
Laura McMurtry and Steve McMurtry offer personal training services at Anza. Their business cards can be found at Anza reception.
Visit the reception desk if you have any questions.
