Once again the Needlework Club members have had a busy year producing items to be donated to the club’s selected charities. During 2017 the club donated 883 hats, blankets, shawls, sweaters and other items to Aviva Children’s Services in Tucson, Hands of a Friend (Genesis House), Salvation Army, St. Andrews Children’s Clinic and Valley Assistance Services. We also provided yarn breast prosthetics free to Quail Creek residents and contributed to the Knitted Knockers association. We thank everyone who purchased items during Craft Sales, Open Houses and from our window. Proceeds from these sales allow us to buy new yarns and fabric so we can continue to create items for charity. Again, thank you!
Our club gathers on Tuesday mornings (9:00 a.m. to noon) and Friday afternoons (1:00 to 4:00 p.m.) in Studio 104 of the Creative Arts and Technology Center. Please drop in and visit!
