The 2019-20 Kino lecture series kicks off on Monday, Nov. 18, as Dr. John Klein returns to share his experiences of his latest attempt to summit Mount Everest in a lecture entitled safely back from the death zone.
On Feb. 13, 2020, we will learn about retrieving and processing fossils from geologist Jerome Montgomery in a talk entitled “Crocodiles, Turtles, and Fish, Oh My: Eocene Era Fossils from Kemmerer, WY.”
Then on March 16, 2020, Quail Creek’s own Judy Middleton will share with us her recent experiences in Spain in a talk entitled “500 Miles in 34 Days: One Woman’s Camino de Santiago Journey.”
The Kino lecture series is jointly sponsored by the Quail Creek Education Committee and The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) scholarship committee. Proceeds benefit the TWOQC scholarship fund to assist area high school seniors and women in transition.
All lectures are open to the public and scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Madera Clubhouse.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at QC concierge desk (checks only) or at the door (cash only).
