Quail Creek Republicans Live Stream Meetings!

Rich Ulery

The Quail Creek (QC) Republican Club continues to actively engage with its members and the entire Quail Creek community, despite the impact of the COVID-19 restrictions.

President Shelley Kais broadcasts the QC Republican message each month through Zoom and live streaming via YouTube. If you missed either the March or April virtual meetings, you can still access them by visiting our website at www.quailcreekrepublicans.com.

On April 17, the Quail Creek Republican Club welcomed three candidates for office, along with Continental School Superintendent Roxana Rico. Brandon Martin, District 2 candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, presented his proposals and reasons why Republicans should back his candidacy. Simon Davis, current member of and candidate for the Sahuarita Town Council, highlighted his experience and proposals for keeping Sahuarita economically prosperous, and our own QC Republican Club President Shelley Kais, current board member and candidate for the Continental Elementary School District Governing Board, outlined her experience in education and business and her goals to keep Continental Elementary School one of the best in southern Arizona. All candidates fielded questions from viewers via the YouTube live stream.

Finally, our club had the privilege of welcoming Continental School Superintendent Roxana Rico. She updated our viewership on all the steps taken by the school to continue educating our students despite the statewide school closure. All students are given ample opportunity to continue their studies in an online manner or receive weekly study packets from their teachers. The school also continues to distribute hundreds of meals daily at four locations throughout the district.

Watch your email or the daily What’s Happening release for details about our next live streamed meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 15, when we will welcome Noran Eric Ruden, candidate for the District 2 U.S House of Representatives; Benny White, candidate for Pima County Recorder; and Sergio Arellano, candidate for the Continental School District governing board.
