QCPOA Board election candidate information

Diane Borst, Election Committee

The Quail Creek POA Board includes two members who are elected by the residents. The annual election to fill one of the two resident-elected POA Board positions will be held in October. All elections – national, state or local – are important, but this one affects each homeowner in Quail Creek. The person elected will serve a two-year term representing all residents on the POA Board responsible for running our community and ensuring it continues to be the great place it is to live.

Candidates must be homeowners in good standing. It is recommended that the homeowner be a full-time resident and have previously served on at least one Board-authorized committee. POA Board members must be willing to and are obligated to participate in all Board meetings and assignments, including serving as a Liaison to various Board-appointed committees.

Interested potential candidates should obtain a Candidate Packet from the Concierge Desk or online at quailcreekhoa.org. This packet contains an introductory letter, guidelines for campaign etiquette and a statement of intent. Once the required information is completed, the packet should be returned to Guest Services (Concierge Desk) to the attention of the Chairperson – Election Committee. If the completed packet is received at Guest Services (Concierge Desk) by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, the candidate’s information will be included in an article in the September issue of the Quail Creek Crossing. The final deadline for all completed packets is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11.

Being a POA Board member requires a commitment of time and energy, but the results can be so rewarding. You have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a positive contribution to the community in which you live. You can make a difference!
