Once again, Caring Hearts & Hands of Quail Creek (CHHQC) will have a booth at the upcoming Fall Festival. This is a great opportunity to stock up on our handmade cards for the holidays and other special occasions and to purchase raffle tickets for our “famous gift baskets.”
Caring Hearts & Hands will be raffling off two themed gift baskets this year, each with their own travel wagon to carry home all the goodies!
Star-Spangled Fiesta. This gift basket theme is in honor of our local military personnel at the 162nd Wing Air National Guard, Morris Air Force Base, Tucson. CHHQC works throughout the year preparing for the annual Military Baby Shower on Armed Forces Day in May, which is delivered to enlisted personnel who are expecting the newest patriots to join their families. This basket includes numerous items to host a true fiesta such as a margarita blender, quesadilla maker, two cast iron fajita pans, numerous glassware, and much more!
Tailgate Party. What a great time you and your friends will have taking your wagon loaded with goodies to a fall football game or gathering at your home for the big college game! Items include a 17-inch rolling grill, two camping chairs, a dome tent, grilling tools, a margarita blender, a backpack beverage cooler, an air popcorn popper, a crock pot, condiments, serving essentials, and an air mattress to use at your tailgate before the game starts!
The proceeds from these raffle tickets will be used by Caring Hearts & Hands to support our ongoing charity projects for Youth On Their Own (YOTO), Military Baby Shower, and a new philanthropic endeavor—The Lapan Sunshine Foundation, an organization in South Tucson that supports underprivileged and food-insecure youth and high school students on a path to success for college or vocational training.
Raffle tickets will be sold in advance of the Fall Festival at the following locations and times:
Sundays, Oct. 22 and 29, outside the Grill from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesdays, Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, in the Madera clubhouse lobby from 7 to 11 a.m.
You can also purchase raffle tickets on the days of the Fall Festival, Nov. 4 and 5, directly at the Caring Hearts & Hands booth in the Madera ballroom.
Drawings will be at the close of the festival on Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. Winners do not need to be present to win.
