Every year AARP provides free tax preparation to residents all across the country, as well as in the local area. One does not have to be an AARP member to have their returns prepared by the AARP volunteers.
Right now the AARP team that works on the La Posada Campus is looking for volunteers willing to work Wednesdays and/or Fridays between Feb. 1 and April 15, 2024. Especially needed are receptionists and tax preparers. Free training is provided for both positions. Prior tax experience is not required for preparers, but they must be comfortable with using a computer.
