One hundred and thirty-five women discovered new places to go and see from presenter Jim Gressinger, writer and publisher of SouthernArizonaGuide.com, at the November meeting of The Women of Quail Creek. Accompanying his talk with beautiful photographs of the places recommended, he spoke enthusiastically about the Guide’s favorite, often little known, places to hike (Echo Canyon), picnic sites, ghost towns to visit and fun events to attend. Even long-time residents and well-traveled members of the audience were jotting down notes, possibly thinking of future adventures.

Additionally he spoke about his approach to critiquing restaurants. All restaurants rated and reviewed on his website guide have been subjected to his dining criteria. Not wishing to base reviews solely on one menu selection and one man’s opinion, he invites a group of people to dine with him and his wife. Everyone orders something different, and all critique their individual meals. By visiting the website viewers can access the Guide’s many recommendations for the best dining, lodging and things to see and do in the southern Arizona area.

Door prize winners were awarded tickets to visit either the Titan Missile Museum or The Pima Air and Space Museum. Peggy Bailey won the opportunity for two people to take Jim’s Historic and Libation Tour, a walking tour of Tucson, including lunch at Maynards restaurant.
