A group of women from The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) Garden Group was hosted by Mary Kidnocker of Green Valley Gardeners at the Arid Garden on March 16. It was a gorgeous day for the outing! Mary is an encyclopedia of knowledge and was able to answer all questions. The group learned about low-water landscaping and were able to view unusual native plants from all over the desert.
Arid Garden is a one-acre “démonstration garden” in Green Valley with over 600 trees, plants, and shrubs. There are no large plantings of a single plant. However, they are grouped together by water, soil, and sun requirements. Arid Garden is open daily and is free to the public.
