The Women of Quail Creek will meet Monday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the ballroom. Equine Voices will be the program for the evening. Guest speaker Karen Pomroy is the Founder and Executive Director of Equine Voices Rescue and Sanctuary, an organization dedicated to saving Premarin mares and foals from abuse and slaughter through community awareness. Attendees will learn the heartwarming story of Gulliver, the mascot and symbol for the sanctuary, a spirited horse that Karen rescued in 2004 and brought back from sickness into health. Her success with rehabilitating Gulliver and other wild horses inspired Karen to start the Amado sanctuary. Anyone with a love of horses will be touched by her presentation.
Members are asked to bring donations for the Community Food Bank—food, feminine hygiene products, cleaning supplies and paper/plastic goods are needed. Checks made out to Green Valley Community Bank and cash would also be appreciated. Envelopes for credit card donations will also be available prior to the meeting.
All members, guests and Quail Creek ladies interested in joining that have not previously attend a TWOQC function are invited to attend. For further information visit the TWOQC website at womenqc.com or contact Peggy McGee at [email protected], 207-6188 or Janice Pell at [email protected], 867-6262.
