Laughter and the sound of clapping filled the air at the April meeting of TWOQC as the Tucson Prunes tap danced their way along Route 66. The talented ladies went through numerous costume changes wowing the audience with the beauty of their outfits, each more elaborate than the last. Between numbers the emcee and sound man, the only male in the group, kept the program going with jokes, old Burma Shave ads and songs. The evening ended on a high note with a medley of songs from all the branches of the armed forces which had the audience on their feet singing along. It was a very fun filled, toe tapping and memory provoking evening. TWOQC gave them a standing ovation, though it was hard to tell which group was having more fun, TWOQC or the Prunes. As door prizes a number of lucky ladies won a dance lesson with JoAnn Gentry, one of the most spirited members of the Prunes. In keeping with the theme of the evening, five ladies received door prizes of various bags of prunes and recipes that contained prunes.
