TRIPS April 18 tour will be a southern Arizona road trip. Carpools will be organized in the parking lot in front of the Creative Arts and Technology Center building.
First stop, the historic Empire Ranch, which has been a working cattle ranch for 140 years. Its rich history includes successive ownership by two prominent ranching families, two corporations and finally by the federal government on behalf of the general public. Discover the Empire Ranch through a docent-led tour, followed by a little time to explore the historic buildings at Headquarters on your own.
Let’s return to our cars and make the short trek to Dos Cabezas Winery Tasting Room. The group will taste the current wines in the scenic, peaceful grasslands of Sonoita. Wine tastings plus a Dos Cabezas logo glass is included in the cost of the tour.
Next, let’s do lunch at The Cafe Sonoita, fresh attitude, fresh food, experience chefitude. Vegetarian-friendly and Vegan options, too. Lunch not included in the cost; this is on your own.
Saving the best for last, participants will drive to Nizhoni Ranch Gallery, the destination for the serious American Indian art collector. The visit in person may give you the ultimate, intimate shopping experience! This is a sophisticated gallery in a unique old ranch house.
