A tisket, a tasket, what’s in the pretty basket?

Fundraising for good causes is something the Quail Creek Ladies’ Golf Associations do very well, especially for the continuing fight against Breast Cancer through the Susan G. Komen ‘Rally for the Cure.’ Now in our seventeenth year, our combined golf and luncheon event, In the Saguaro Sunshine, is being held on Thursday, November 3. Registration continues until October 24 or until all events are filled by ladies from Quail Creek. All the registration forms are located in the special Breast Cancer Chest set up in the Pro Shop.

This year our luncheon is a themed Tostada Buffet with all the trimmings and our traditional pink iced cupcakes to satisfy every sweet tooth. Non-golfing ladies of Quail Creek are invited to participate in this luncheon along with the golfers who’ve been enjoying both nine and eighteen hole events and a fun putting game. An amazing fact is that about 18% of our attending ladies are cancer survivors! We arrange a special presentation to honor these wonderful women who show us the way to succeed. Through our Sponsor Signs positioned on the golf holes, we commemorate our loved ones who cannot be with us today. Anyone may purchase a Sponsorship.

We contribute to the Susan G. Komen Fund directly through our registration fees for all our active events and luncheon and then, we vie for the most fantastic of raffle baskets. Our Quail Creek community crafters and the surrounding towns, specialty shops and golf courses generously provide the wonderful collection of goodies we find in these baskets. Tickets may be purchased by any interested person either at pre-announced times or until noon the day of the event (November 3). The winners will be announced at the luncheon. All funds raised are contributed to Komen and specified for use in the Tucson area.

We welcome you to our Rally for the Cure In the Saguaro Sunshine and hope that you will help us to continue our Breast Cancer Challenge.
