Rada Neal
Inna Shames
Rada Neal, a professional pianist and composer living in Quail Creek, will be performing at the Community Performance & Arts Center (CPAC) in Green Valley on Saturday, March 7, at 6 p.m.
The concert is a fundraiser for The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) Scholarship Committee, and all proceeds will go towards supporting this worthy cause.
Rada Neal is a graduate of the Indiana School of Music. She writes solo piano music in the neoclassical mode, and critics have hailed her distinct and clear performance style. Her past performances have included Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, and the 1988 halftime Super Bowl, which included Chubby Checker and The Rockettes.
She will be performing a varied selection of classical music, familiar showtunes, and pop standards, including works by Stephen Sondheim, Scott Joplin, Henri Mancini, Michel Legrand, Eric Satie, and Isaac Albeniz, as well as several of her original compositions.
It should be a wonderfully entertaining evening, and the TWOQC Scholarship Committee is grateful and excited to be offering this concert to raise funds for scholarships, which fall into several categories:
HS – High School: Scholarships for young women graduating from Rio Rico, Sahuarita, and Walden Grove High Schools and continuing their educational journey
AWE – Advancing Women through Education: Scholarships for women over 21 who are resuming their education to acquire additional degrees or certification from an accredited college, university, or technical school
PATH – Progress, Access, Tenacity, and Hope: Scholarships awarded to prior recipients of a TWOQC High School Scholarship who are continuing their education a second year
So, please join us for Rada Neal’s CPAC concert on March 7. It will be a great evening and will benefit a great cause! Tickets are $25 each for open seating, and as this is a private fundraising event, tickets must be purchased through the TWOQC Scholarship Committee.
