Although Show Low and Pinetop are close and popular areas in the summer, for many in the RV Club who use their RVs to get away from the heat in summer, there are several who travel much farther north. There are so many spectacular areas to enjoy in the Northwest.
A small group of Quail Creek RV Club members own lots in an ownership RV resort in Western Wyoming. The area is called Star Valley, just south of Jackson Hole. Many RV Club members have visited during the summer and explored the many things to do and see there.
This year we had four couples come through to stay and play for a short while before we all traveled north to Ennis, Mont., where we met a few other QCRV Club members—nine rigs altogether! The group enjoyed the beautifully scenic, well-known fly-fishing area. Virginia City is a delightful old mining town close by, which made a good day trip for lunch and shopping. We always manage to find a golf course in the area for the golfers one day. Shopping and eating in Ennis turned out to be quite a good adventure. Willie’s Distillery was popular, we found a book sale at the local library, and several ladies found exploring the thrift shop very rewarding! Gathering together every night around the campfire to share the day’s stories and finds is always the best part of every trip.
The QCRV Club meets the first Tuesday of the month, from September through June, at 4 p.m. in the Silver Room. Please come visit.
