‘Rumors’ Can Be Fun and Entertaining

Davey Jones

Neil Simon began his writing career in television and established himself as a leading writer of comedy by creating a succession of Broadway hits including The Odd Couple, Plaza Suite and Sweet Charity. Eventually, he added an amazing comedy/farce called Rumors. Your own Quail Creek Performing Arts Guild (QCPAG) is proud to present this zany play on stage in the Crystal Ballroom on April 5, 6, and 7 starting at 7 p.m. (bar opens at 6 p.m.).

The set was built two years ago when QCPAG was just three weeks away from the original performance dates. It is arguably the most elaborate set to be placed on the stage, with an “upper level” containing two bedroom doors. Cast members will have been hard at work rehearsing by the time of this publication. Many tickets will also be in the hands of our audience followers by then.

If you have not purchased tickets yet, they will be sold in the lobby of the clubhouse on Tuesday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. They are just $20 each, and cabaret-style seating will consist of up to eight people at each table, giving folks a place to put their drinks down. This is necessary, because you might spill a drink while laughing so loud! You may also call Davey Jones at 520-399-4222 to check on ticket availability.

As QCPAG’s 43rd performance comes along, we hope to see you there. Note: Since QCPAG sells their own tickets, we can only accept cash or checks payable to QCPAG.
