On Monday, Dec. 2, Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee addressed members of the Quail Creek Republican Club. She discussed several issues facing the state of Arizona and outlined the fiscal controls and discipline she has brought to the state Treasurer’s office. Prior to Treasurer Yee’s presentation, Quail Creek Republicans were treated to a special performance by the Tucson Boys Chorus singing several holiday favorites. The chorus visited Quail Creek the day before leaving for Washington D.C., where the boys were invited to sing by President Trump at the White House Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Mark your calendars for exciting special events in January and February, 2020, as the Quail Creek Republican Club kicks off the 2020 campaign season! On Friday, Jan. 17, members will hear presentations from four candidates running for office in southern Arizona – Pima County Sheriff Mark Napier, Treasurer Beth Ford, County Supervisor Steve Christy, and AZ Corporation Commissioner Leah Marquez-Peterson. Come to the Madera Ballroom at 9 a.m. with your questions for these candidates.
And, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, get ready to board a bus for a comfortable ride to the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix! We will visit the State GOP headquarters and hear GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward outline strategies to keep Arizona RED in 2020 before heading to the Capitol to attend Senate hearings and receive a private briefing from State Senate President Karen Fann. We may even enjoy some camaraderie and wine on the trip back to Quail Creek! Watch for further information.
