On May 2 a lively group from Quail Creek visited Tohono Chul Park in Tucson. This trip was one of six day trips sponsored by the Quail Creek Educational Committee in the past 2012-2013 season. The group learned quite a bit about the history of the park and the design of the interior gardens on a docent led tour. Afterwards people were free to spend time in the art gallery, the retail nursery and the gift shop, ending the day with a lovely lunch in the outdoor bistro. From time to time this 49 acre park sponsors outdoor performances and classes in various subjects which are advertised on their website. Keep an eye out for the Quail Creek Trips Committee announcement of future day trips starting in the August What’s Happening, The Quail Creek Crossing and Quail Creek X-tra.
