Several Quail Creek Trekkers set out to hike in and out of the Grand Canyon this spring. Wildland Trekking Co. provided the equipment and supervision for this adventure since this was the group’s first attempt at this kind of hiking and camping experience. Guided by Eddie, the mule assisted trip far exceeded the expectations of the beauty and vastness of the canyon. All the gear and camping necessities were provided and carried by pack mules. Eddie was the chief cook and bottle washer and gave great narration and adventure stories of his own. The South Kaibab Trail provided many spectacular views on the way down and the Bright Angel Trail was equally impressive on the way up. The Bright Angel Campground proved to be a welcoming oasis with the cool waters of the Bright Angel Creek. An additional hike on the second day gave more fascinating scenes. The group also visited Phantom Ranch where Ranger talks were held.

This was an unforgettable experience!
