Rich Ulery, 1st VP, Quail Creek Republican Club
On May 15, members of the Quail Creek (QC) Republican Club got to know three more candidates running for office in the upcoming primary and general election via another meeting streamed live through YouTube. QC Republican Club President Shelley Kais welcomed Eric Ruden, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives District 2; Benny White, candidate for Pima County Recorder; and Sergio Arellano, candidate for the Governing Board of the Continental School District. Viewers were able to question the candidates online.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made it very difficult for candidates to campaign, raise funds, and present their qualifications and platforms to voters. Despite these obstacles, QC Republicans have had the opportunity to hear from every Republican candidate. We can’t overstate the importance of supporting Republican candidates, and voting in the primary election on Aug. 4, and the general election on Nov. 3.
As our club plans for activities through the balance of 2020 and into 2021, the QC Republican Club launched a survey of its membership on May 20. The survey gave members the opportunity to provide new ideas and expectations to guide club leadership in planning interesting, educational programs, and growing membership. New members always are welcome, and membership information and forms can be found on our website at quailcreekrepublicans.com. We will share the results of the comprehensive survey at the next meeting of the Quail Creek Republican Club via Zoom, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19.
