Membership and Support: Breaking Records!

We are thrilled to announce that Gail Lee has officially become the Quail Creek Computer Club’s 1,000th member! A warm welcome to Gail and all the new members who joined us this year. The word is definitely out—our membership has skyrocketed from 783 to over 1,000 in just one year!

In our Open Labs, we frequently hear high praise such as, “You’re the best club in Quail Creek!” and “You provide a valuable service to us!” Our dedicated lab monitors and instructors love hearing this feedback. In fact, we enjoy providing tech support and consulting so much that you will often see the same friendly faces volunteering at nearly every session.

Save the Date: The Scam Squad Returns!

Green Valley Sheriff’s Department Auxiliary’s Scam Squad

When: Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m.

Where: Kino Center

Who: Open to all Quail Creek residents

Don’t miss one of our most well-attended events of the year! The Scam Squad helps the Pima County Sheriff’s Department fight crime proactively by teaching the community how to recognize and avoid fraud.

Why you should attend: Criminals are clever at hiding their intent and making scams look real. The Scam Squad will arm you with the tools to detect them.

A couple of the topics covered:

• Commercial Spam: Unwanted emails promoting products or services

• Phishing Spam: Deceptive messages designed to trick you into revealing personal information

Join us! If you are a resident and would like to join the Quail Creek Computer Club, we will have assistance available at the back of the room after the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there so we can all stay safe and vigilant together!
