On Friday, June 24, the Quail Creek Activities Council in cooperation with Banquets Director Epifania Torres hosted a ‘50s Sock Hop. Two hundred Quail Creek residents came out to twist the night away dressed in their finest ‘50s attire. Poodle skirts, crinolines, saddle shoes, letterman sweaters, slicked-back hair, rolled-up jeans, leather jackets, and candy cigarettes rolled into T-shirt sleeves were high fashion for the event. The Sock Hop included a hula hoop and costume contests. The dance floor was hopping all night as DJ Warren B played iconic ‘50s tunes like “The Twist” and “The Stroll.” A lot of fun was had by all!
