Unit Highlights: Celebrating the Secret Sauce of Unit 25A

Carole Berg, Publicity Chair, QC Unit Representative Club

Every Quail Creek unit has its own flavor, and Unit 25A’s recipe blends connection, creativity, and a generous helping of community spirit. Located in the northeast corner of Quail Creek between Robson Ranch Boulevard and Quail Range Loop and bordered by Road Runner Greens 3 and 5, this unit is a place where neighbors genuinely enjoy one another and find easy reasons to gather.

That sense of connection doesn’t happen by accident. In Unit 25A, neighbors show up. Whether it’s stopping to chat while out for a walk, joining a game of golf, or lending a hand with unit events, participation is shared and enthusiastic. It’s a community where everyone plays a role, friendships form naturally, and gatherings feel relaxed, welcoming, and fun.

Supporting that spirit is Unit Rep Liz Livingston who stepped into the role early in 2025 after first volunteering as an alternate (now called co-rep). Liz admirably managed the 47-home unit on her own for nearly a year before being joined by Rick Ruge as co-rep in November.

Liz moved to Quail Creek in 2021 from sunny San Diego. While she may occasionally miss the beach, she’s fully embraced the small-town charm of Southern Arizona where a traffic jam usually means too many golf carts in the way. When asked how she feels about life here, she smiled and said, “We feel like we died and woke up in Heaven!” Giving back to her community energizes Liz, and she especially enjoys the unit’s progressive dinners where neighbors connect more personally and friendships deepen.

Rick moved into the neighborhood five and a half years ago, right in the heat of Summer 2020. He loves the neighborhood atmosphere, particularly the weekly golf games, plus a few more each week for good measure. Rick also initiated the unit’s Chili Cook-Off, which drew great participation. Early on, he met neighbors simply by spending time in his driveway, first watching new homes go up and later enjoying conversations with those passing by.

With neighbors actively involved and leadership that encourages shared effort, Unit 25A is well positioned to remain vibrant for years to come. That spirit of participation is what truly makes life in Quail Creek sing.

While the number of unit reps and co-reps continues to grow, several units are still in need of volunteers. If you live in one of the following units and are interested in contributing, please contact Unit Chair Bobbi Gordon at ogbg@sbcglobal.net. Full training is provided, along with support from the new Activity Advisor Committee.

Unit Rep Club Welcomes Three New Representatives and Four New Co-Reps

Carole Berg

The Unit Representative Club of Quail Creek opened their first meeting of 2026 on Jan. 20. We were thrilled to welcome our newest reps: Pam Reuhl (Unit 22W), Denise Kotz (Unit 26), and Pam Shepherd, (Unit 14)! If you know Pam Reuhl, Denise Kotz, or Pam Shepherd, be sure to give them a high five for volunteering to step up for their units. And if you live in Unit 22W, Unit 26, or Unit 14, keep an eye out for their friendly faces! Units 22W and 26 are close in size: Unit 22W has 55 homes and Unit 26 has 56 homes, while Unit 14 has 105 homes. Keeping on top of unit activities, keeping the homeowners informed, and greeting new homeowners is what keeps our mini communities humming, and these reps are looking for their co-reps and others to support the upcoming activities!

On that note, we are pleased to announce four new co-reps: Laura Marchetta of Unit 11, Rick Ruge of Unit 25A, Kim Redbird Unit 35B, and Lori Baker Unit 12. These co-reps are the instigators, supporting and providing the needed extra help to keep the fun going, and they deserve high fives for stepping up into the unit volunteers group!

Not sure what a unit rep or a co-rep does? In short, they help keep our “mini neighborhoods” (known as units) connected, informed, and thriving. They welcome new residents, share important updates, deliver the annual Source Book and map, and spark fun social activities. Plus, they meet every other month to exchange ideas that make Quail Creek an even better place to live.

Primary or co-reps are needed for Units 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 12, 13,14A, 14B, 15, 18, 21A-Homes, 21A-Villas, 25A, 27, 30/30A-E, 32, 33A-Homes, 33A-Villas, 33B-Homes, and 33B-Villas. It doesn’t take much time, and it’s a wonderful way to meet neighbors and give back. If you own a Villa, we’d especially love for you to consider stepping in. Villas now have their own reps to focus on their unique needs.

And if you don’t know which unit you reside within, just give a call to Member Services with your address, and they will be happy to enlighten you!
