Nurses Wrap Up 2025

Janine Baxter

The Nurses of Quail Creek ended their year on Dec. 7 by enjoying a production of The Nutcracker by local dance company Ballet Continental. That was followed with a holiday luncheon at Coyote Grill at San Ignacio Golf Club. In addition to a great show, food, and company, our own Marilyn Reiser donated and won a door prize at the ballet of a beautiful Nutcracker wreath. Marilyn shared that The Nutcracker is one of her favorite productions, and she was thrilled with her luck.

Also, once again this year, the nurses chose a charity to donate to. Leading up to the holidays, the group generously donated to the Arizona Diaper Bank. The Diaper Bank collects and then distributes children’s diapers, adult incontinence products, and period supplies via strategic partnerships with local agencies.

Next up is a visit on Saturday, Jan. 17, to the Presidio State Historic Park and Museum in Tubac. We will take in a lecture/talk from orator and historian John Lasseter about Women of the Arizona Frontier. The focus is on three different women: an Apache, a Spaniard, and a New Englander. They have three different stories, but all are imperative to the development of Arizona.

Lastly, we want to make sure to invite all nurses in the Quail Creek community to join us in 2026. We are always welcoming new members. There are no membership fees. We typically meet once per month, and nurses can participate in any and all activities that are of interest to them.
