Now Is a Great Time to Join the Lady Putters

Peggy McGee

Anytime is really a good time to join in the fun and camaraderie of the Lady Putters, but this is an especially good time, because many winter residents have left for their other homes, so the teams are smaller, giving more time for the seasoned Putters to share tips with new members. Generally during the summer, the group gets through the 18 holes in less than an hour, while during high season, the average time is about 90 minutes.

Even during the summer, the group has some special events planned:

July 24: Christmas in July to benefit the Green Valley Food Bank

Aug. 28: Bruncheon immediately following putting

When the weather cools down, there will be the Battle of the Sexes on Oct. 4. This afternoon event pits the Putters against their spouses/partners. It also includes a 50/50 raffle to support a local charity.

On Oct. 30 the Lady Putters will host the Putters from SaddleBrooke Ranch.

On Nov. 14 the Putters will join the Lady 9-Holers and the Ladies Golf Association for the annual Chip-in for Charity. For this event, four local charities are chosen to split the proceeds of the 50/50 raffle, as well as accept donations.

Please consider joining us. Annual dues are only $20. There is also a $1 weekly greens fee.
