Needlework Club enjoys sharing

Linda Freeman

The Quail Creek Needlework Club gathers together friendly people to craft items with yarns and fabric. A happy consequence of our crafting produces such items as blankets, hats, sweaters, dresses and quilts that we donate to one of our designated charities: Hands of a Friend, Salvation Army, St. Andrews Children’s Clinic, Valley Assistance Services and Aviva Children’s Services. During 2016 we gave away 727 items! Distributions are made throughout the year, but it is especially fun to empty our cupboards and distribute everything so we can start fresh for the new year. This photograph shows our year-end distribution day.

Our club meets twice each week: Tuesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon and Friday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Drop in and visit – or take a look at items we have for sale in our window. We are located in the Creative Arts and Technology Center, Studio 104.
