CERT basic training course planned

The Greater Green Valley Community Emergency Response Team (GGV CERT) will begin its first basic training course of the year on Wednesday, March 8 at the Green Valley Fire District Headquarters, 1285 W. Camino Encanto. This 20-hour course will cover disaster preparedness, terrorism, disaster medical operations, team planning, psychological reaction to disasters and many more topics.

Classes will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on March 8, 9, 15 and 16 and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on March 18.

This training is appropriate for anyone willing to help neighbors until First Responders arrive; especially former EMT and nurses, as well as those familiar with disaster management.

Please consider joining fellow Quail Creek residents Susan Allen, Dave and Kathe Alves, John and Peggy McGee, Ray Trombino and Roger Wood, ready to assist others in time of emergency.
