When the Green Valley Chapter Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) sponsored its Food for the Troops program at Quail Creek over the 4th of July period, they collected monetary donations as well as held a 50-50 raffle to raise funds for its annual Turkeys for the Troops program. In the past, they were able to purchase turkeys in various sizes to give to the families of the junior enlisted airmen in the Air National Guard. With turkey purchases being limited to one, they bought gift cards to enable the troops to buy not only a turkey but all the trimmings to make it a really festive meal.
