March MOAA Dinner Open to All Military Retirees

Peggy McGee

If you passed away, would your spouse know what to do? Or if your spouse died, would you know what to do, at least paperwork-wise? Hint: Make sure both names are on all utility accounts now. If you have always done the taxes, would your spouse know where the paperwork is to get the taxes done on time? And don’t forget about the passwords for your online accounts. This is not a pleasant topic to discuss with one’s spouse, but it is, indeed, a necessary one.

These are just a few of the topics that the March speaker, Barbara Smith, will cover at the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) dinner meeting on Tuesday, March 15. Because her message applies to all military retirees, this meeting will be open to all ranks, and not just officers. Maybe some have forgotten all they and their spouses are entitled to once they retire from military service.

The dinner will be held at Grill on the Green on March 15 with the social period beginning at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Cost for the dinner, which includes a choice of shrimp, salmon, or BBQ brisket, will be $30. Deadline to sign up is March 14. For reservations, please contact Peggy McGee at [email protected] or 520-207-6188.
