The annual Madera Clubhouse Library meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ocotillo Room, Kino Conference Center.
The library volunteers meet annually in November to elect a chair, receive the chair’s annual report and finalize assignments for the coming calendar year. This is also an opportunity for the volunteers to meet each other and make comments/recommendations on library operations.
The Library Operations Manual, shelved on the return cart near the library door, contains details on how the library is operated. With limited exceptions like the purchase of the return cart and magazine racks, no POA funds are used by the library.
The 2016 Chair or Co-Chairs will be elected at the meeting. Nominations/applications will be received at the meeting.
All residents are welcome to attend the meeting. This is a good opportunity to ask questions, learn about the library and volunteer for 2016. Volunteers serve for two week periods during the year. There are currently 38 helpers, most having served for several years. All agree that the work is enjoyable and gives them a sense of satisfaction.
Feel free to thank a volunteer who is working in the library. The quality and usability of this wonderful resource is directly attributable to them.
