Let’s Travel Club: Travel Tips and Idea Sharing

Joyce Shumate

Did you know that many of our Let’s Travel Club members have not only traveled locally but also worldwide? We also have “armchair” travelers—visiting faraway places without leaving home. Whichever category you may fit into, perhaps you have suggestions on how to save money when traveling, places to visit and places not to visit, and what websites to use. You may have ideas on how to pack, your “go-to” items to pack, or even how to pack for one week or several weeks using only a carry-on!

The monthly meeting of Let’s Travel Club usually includes guest speakers from local attractions. However, for our upcoming July meeting, all Let’s Travel Club members will be our guest speakers. We welcome you to share any ideas or suggestions about travel, whether it’s about budget travel, off-the-beaten-path destinations, or travel hacks. Your best travel tips, favorite websites, and valuable apps are all encouraged to be shared at this meeting. Your recommendations could make a big difference for someone planning their next adventure! By participating, you contribute to our collective knowledge and open yourself to new insights. This meeting promises to be a lively and informative exchange of information.

Additionally, we will discuss what future club activities and meeting presentations you would like Let’s Travel Club to organize, any group day trips you would like to help with or participate in, and any suggestions for extended trips.

The Let’s Travel Club monthly meeting, open to all Quail Creek residents, is scheduled for Friday, July 19, at 2 p.m. at the Kino Center in the Ocotillo and Mesquite Rooms. We are looking forward to seeing you there and hearing your unique travel insights.
