The Let’s Travel Club recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to India, beginning their adventure in the vibrant capital city of Delhi. The group immersed themselves in the rich culture and history of the area, exploring stunning temples and forts and experiencing the bustling energy of Old Delhi with a classic rickshaw ride—an authentic taste of local life.
From there, the group traveled to Agra for a dream visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal. A touching stop followed at Sheroes Café, a warm, inspiring space run by brave women who have survived acid attacks, serving not just delicious food but powerful stories of resilience and hope.
After the intensity of the cities, the group found tranquility at an elegant resort nestled within Ranthambore National Park, one of Northern India’s largest and most renowned wildlife reserves, famous for its elusive Bengal tigers. The group’s luxurious resort offered a serene escape surrounded by nature, a perfect contrast to the energy of the cities.
The tour culminated in Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City for the distinctive rose-colored buildings that line its historic streets.
At an ethical elephant sanctuary, the group enjoyed intimate and meaningful interactions with rescued elephants—feeding them, painting their skin with natural, non-toxic colors, and cooling them off with sprays of water. It was a truly special opportunity to connect with these gentle giants in a compassionate and responsible setting.
One of the highlights of Jaipur was participating firsthand in the Holi Festival, a major Hindu celebration known as the festival of colors, love, and spring. Surrounded by vibrant colors, music, and joyous crowds, travelers got to experience the spirit of Holi in a way few ever do.
Jaipur, also known for its jewelry and hand block printed textiles, offered the perfect opportunity to shop for beautiful and unique souvenirs. Many travelers took home one-of-a-kind treasures, each piece carrying a story and memory of their incredible time in India.
Many of the group continued their adventure in India on a five-day extension to Jodhpur and Udaipur.
Jodhpur, known as the Blue City, is a photographer’s dream, with the old town’s maze of buildings washed in every imaginable shade of blue.
In Udaipur, the City of Lakes, the group ended their tour staying at Shiv Niwas Palace, a former residence of the Maharana of Udaipur, Rajasthan, perched on the banks of Lake Pichola. The palace was built in the early 20th century and has been meticulously maintained and preserved. Surrounded by shimmering waters, grand courtyards, and intricate architecture, it was the perfect setting to reflect on the incredible journey.
