The Quail Creek Lapidary and Jewelry Club hosts a “Slabs to Cabs” educational session for its members the first Saturday of each month. Justin Miles, Carol Wiser, Steve Piepmeier, and Cloyce Miller lead the class, teaching the members how to cut cabochons (gems polished but not faceted from rocks for different types of jewelry, i.e., necklace pendants, bracelets, etc.) using the exceptional equipment available for the members in the studio.
