Lady Putters support food bank

Peggy McGee

The Putters have gone all out to support the Green Valley Food Bank (AKA Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona) this year. First it was Christmas in July and then it was Christmas in December when the ladies donated 179 pounds of food and $550 in cash. That was phenomenal considering they were approaching that time of year when budgets and time are often stretched, and yet they took time to shop for items especially useful at holiday time: flour to make tamales, baking supplies, festive foods. The monetary donations will give the Food Bank approximately $4950 in buying power.

All told, as a group, the ladies donated 293 pounds of food and $1245 in cash during 2018.
