Lady Putters ramp up activities

Peggy McGee

After a five week hiatus because of overseeding and rain, the Lady Putters were eager to get back to putting when the green reopened for them on October 12.

Amid the bouts of laughter, the comment, “are these greens ever slow” was heard again and again. Almost everyone had a higher score than usual but despite the challenges the camaraderie continued.

From now until May 3, 2017 putting will begin each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with check-in starting at 9:30 a.m. Those joining now and paying the $15 annual dues will be paid in full until December 31, 2017. An optional visor may be purchased for $10. Green fee is $1 each time one putts. Interested ladies may try out the Putters twice before making a final commitment.

By a majority vote, putting will take place on November 23, the day before Thanksgiving.
