For the past several years, the Lady Putters have contributed to the Military Baby Shower organized by Caring Hearts & Hands of Quail Creek for the junior troops from the 162nd Wing, AZ Air National Guard. To make the event a success for the expectant moms, the Putters donated one small rubber duck, one baby book, one baby spoon, and one package of wipes for each family. They also contributed 100 bibs, 10 crocheted blankets, 6 baby quilts, and about 60 onesies, sleepers, and outfits. The monetary donations enabled them to buy lots of diapers, too. The Armed Forces Day event needs both moms and dads to carry all the gifts, many of which were lovingly handmade.
