Fabulous Fall Fashions is the theme for the Third Annual Valley Assistance Services (VAS) benefit fashion show. The event will take place in the Madera Clubhouse Crystal Ballroom on Wednesday, Sept. 21. Outfits will be provided by Nancy Pantz, with most of the models being from Quail Creek. The doors will open at 10:30 a.m. to give attendees ample time to check out the raffle baskets and buy their tickets for the 50/50 raffle. The raffle baskets will be themed—spa, pets, food, chocolate, wine, and more.
VAS has been around for almost 50 years. It is a social services agency that provides assistance to low-income families in the local area. Their mission is to combine social services and community health, guiding seniors, individuals, and families to live healthy, resilient, and vibrant lives while remaining safe and independent. VAS is recognized throughout their service area for professionalism, compassionate care, advocacy, and essential and effective programs that promote dignity and self-sufficiency to seniors and families.
The luncheon will feature Chicken Bruschetta: sautéed chicken breast served with a fresh tomato, basil, garlic reduction and topped with shredded parmesan. Apple pie with caramel sauce and whipped cream will decadently round out the meal. A vegetarian or gluten-free option is available upon request. The cost for the event is $30 cash or check, payable to VAS. Reserved seating tickets can be purchased at the following locations:
* VAS office: 3950 S. Camino del Heroe in the Springs HOA
* Posada Java
* Nancy Pantz in Continental Shopping Center
* Trendz in Green Valley Village Shopping Center
* By contacting Quail Creek resident Peggy McGee at 520-207-6188 or [email protected]
Credit or debit cards will be accepted for ticket sales at the VAS office only. Tickets tend to go fast, so get yours early for the best seating.
