It may have been hot outside but the hearts of 47 Quail Creek Lady Putters were even warmer as they brought an early Christmas gift to the Green Valley/Sahuarita Food Bank.

Donned in Christmas attire, or at least Christmas colors, the ladies brought not only food but also paper, cleaning and grooming supplies, items that often cost more than food when one grocery shops.

Even though the number of Putters was relatively small, they donated a whopping 177 pounds of groceries and $215 in cash. The Food Bank was amazed that the Putters collected so much in such a short period of time-—about 30 minutes. Said the spokesperson for the event, “We’re very organized!”
